The Keller Independent School District currently operates twenty-one elementary schools, five intermediate schools, five middle schools, three high schools and one special programs center. These thirty-five schools are attended by more than 28,000 students who live in Keller, Colleyville, Fort Worth, Haltom City, Hurst, North Richland Hills, Southlake, Watauga, and Westlake.
For the 2008-2009 school year, Keller ISD was rated academically acceptable by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Seventeen of its campuses received exemplary ratings, fifteen received recognized ratings, two received academically acceptable ratings and one was not rated. The percentage of Keller ISD students passing the 2008-2009 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was somewhat higher than for all Texas schools.
Nineteen Keller ISD schools are attended by students living in the northwest Dallas suburbs profiled on this website. As shown below, ten of these campuses were rated exemplary by the TEA based on their 2008-2009 school year performances, seven received recognized ratings and one was rated academically acceptable.
