The Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District currently operates nineteen elementary schools, five junior high schools, two high schools, and four special programs centers. These thirty schools are attended by approximately 20,000 students who live in Bedford, Euless, Hurst, Arlington, Colleyville, Fort Worth, and North Richland Hills.
For the 2007-2008 school year, Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD was rated recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Eight of its campuses received exemplary ratings, sixteen received recognized ratings, four received academically acceptable ratings, and two were not rated. The percentage of Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD students passing the 2006-2007 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was somewhat higher than for all Texas schools.
Three Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD schools are attended by students living in the northwest Dallas suburbs profiled on this web site. As shown below, one of these campuses were rated exemplary by the TEA based on their 2007-2008 school year performances, one was rated recognized and one was rated academically acceptable.
