The Frisco Independent School District currently operates twenty-seven elementary schools, nine middle schools, four high schools and one special programs center. These forty-one schools are attended by more than 24,000 students who live in Frisco, Little Elm, McKinney and Plano.
For the 2008-2009 school year, Frisco ISD was rated recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Thirty-two of its campuses received exemplary ratings, seven received recognized ratings, one received an academically acceptable rating, and one was not rated. The percentage of Frisco ISD students passing the 2008-2009 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was significantly higher than for all Texas schools.
Fourteen Frisco ISD schools are attended by students living in the northwest Dallas suburbs profiled on this website. As shown below, eleven of these campuses were rated exemplary by the TEA based on their 2008-2009 school year performances and three were rated recognized.
