Denton Independent School District

For the 2007-2008 school year, Denton ISD was rated academically acceptable by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Three of its campuses received exemplary ratings, eleven received recognized ratings, fourteen received academically acceptable ratings, and three were not rated. The percentage of Denton ISD students passing the 2006-2007 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was slightly higher than for all Texas schools.

Three Denton ISD schools are attended by students living in the northwest Dallas suburbs profiled on this web site. As shown below, one of these campuses were rated recognized by the TEA based on their 2006-2007 school year performances and two were rated academically acceptable.
