The Coppell Independent School District currently operates ten elementary schools, three middle schools, one high school and one special programs center. These fifteen schools are attended by approximately 10,000 students who live in Coppell, Irving, and Lewisville.
For the 2007-2008 school year, Coppell ISD was rated as recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Twelve of its campuses received exemplary ratings, two received recognized ratings, and one was not rated. The percentage of Coppell ISD students passing the 2006-2007 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was significantly higher than for all Texas schools.
Thirteen Coppell ISD schools are attended by students living in the northwest Dallas suburbs profiled on this web site. As shown below, eleven of these campuses were rated exemplary by the TEA based on their 2007-2008 school year performance and two were rated recognized.
