The Argyle Independent School District currently operates one elementary school, one middle school, one high school and one special program center. These schools are attended by approximately 1,500 students who live in Argyle, Bartonville, Denton and Flower Mound.
For the 2007-2008 school year, Argyle ISD was rated as academically acceptable by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). One of its four campuses received an exemplary rating, one received a recognized rating, one received an academically acceptable rating, and one was not rated. The percentage of Argyle ISD students passing the 2006-2007 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was significantly higher than for all Texas schools.
