The Argyle Independent School District currently operates an elementary school, an intermediate school, a middle school and a high school. These schools are attended by approximately 1,500 students who live in Argyle, Bartonville, Denton and Flower Mound.

For the 2008-2009 school year, Argyle ISD was rated as recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Three of its four campuses received exemplary ratings and one received a recognized rating. The percentage of Argyle ISD students passing the 2008-2009 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was significantly higher than for all Texas schools.
